111 – 119 Charing Cross Road, London, WC2
Soho Estates Portfolio Ltd
June 2013 - Current
Mixed Use, circa 210,000 square foot
A landmark scheme fronting Charing Cross Road and Greek Street, the Foyles redevelopment is known after the famous bookshop within the site.
DML are working closely with the architects MATT to develop a mixed use scheme appropriate for such a prominent location.
The proposal seeks to open up Soho and improve public access through to Charing Cross Road with the incorporation of a new public route linking Manette Street to Greek Street.
The stepped massing is sympathetic to the site environs (with fewer storeys to the Greek Street side than to Charing Cross Road).
The grade II listed building at 14 Greek Street will be retained in its entirety and fully restored.
Full Planning and Listed building application achieved consent in May 2016.
