DUKES London is a distinguished 5 star hotel located in the heart of St James’s in Mayfair. The hotel has long been a sanctuary for royalty, writers, musicians & politicians and sits within a district steeped in history dating back to King Henry VIII’s 16th century palace.

With effect from the start of 2025, the hotel has embarked on a major refurbishment project involving the temporary closure of its doors until completion in 2026.  The exception is DUKES Bar, famed for its legendary martinis served from antique trolleys, which will remain open throughout the works.

The transformative project, managed by DML, involves the interior design vision of Russell Sage Studio which blends modern sophistication with classic elegance.  All 89 bedrooms are to be stripped, redesigned and refitted alongside the upgrading of amenity spaces to include a new Cigar Store and refurbishment of the external courtyard.  The result will ensure the warmth, charm and intimacy of the DUKES experience is preserved in a refreshed aesthetic.

DML is acting as Development Manager, Project Manager, Quantity Surveyor and Contract Administrator alongside specialists - Russell Sage Interior Designers, 1050 Architects and Thornton Reynolds.
